Girl Scouts

The Girl Scout program is designed specifically for girls. It is a program that addresses the changing needs of girls ages 5 to 17 with structured activities that stimulate their varied interests. Girl Scouting is an organization concerned about the growth, development, and well being of girls as they prepare for their future. The girls develop leadership skills and values in family and God.

Girl Scouts place high values on both the individual and the group. Its purpose is to help develop self-potential to the fullest extent, relate to others and appreciate the value of teamwork, develop values to give meaning and direction to life, and to contribute to the betterment of society through personal and cooperative efforts with others.

Membership is open to all girls from kindergarten through senior year in high school. Volunteer leaders provide a unique program that blends fun and informal education. If anyone is interested in joining the Girl Scouts, or any adult would like to become a volunteer, contact the troop organizer.
