The ministry of lecturing is not an occasional task, but a ministry done for the good of the church. Saint Thomas Church is privileged to have 28 adult lectors. These faithful volunteers proclaim the Word of God at Mass on Saturdays, Sundays, Holydays, and Special Feasts.

Each lector receives a schedule quarterly indicating times and dates of assignments. A lector’s workbook has been given to each one for their preparation when they are scheduled to lector. Individual instruction and practice sessions can be scheduled upon request.

Everyone is welcome to become a lector. Our successful program is the result of the energy, talent, and time of each of our loyal volunteers.
