The Children's Schola was started in September of 1989. It is an outgrowth of the Boys Schola, which had been in existence since 1972. The Schola, directed by Mary Jo Wuestefeld, is open to all boys and girls of Saint Thomas Parish in grades 4 through 8. They sing every 2nd and 4th Sunday, from October through May at the 10:30 AM Mass. Practices are held every Tuesday from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM in the church choir loft.

The Schola has four officers who are elected by the members themselves. They are the Assistant, the Librarian, the Recorder, and the Prefect.

The intent is to benefit each member of Saint Thomas by presenting impressive music and inspirational singing.
